The complete APEP pathway costs $7,814 AUD total (from January 2026): Eligibility Assessment ($1,170), Cultural Safety Training ($235), Written Assessment ($2,017), Capability Assessment ($2,928), Clinical Workshop ($1,464), plus AHPRA registration fees (~$645). The APC does not publish official pass rates for the Written or Capability Assessments, so any specific percentage you see quoted is an estimate. What is well established: structured, exam-format preparation significantly improves your chances. Contact the APC directly if you need current statistics.
You cannot work as a physiotherapist until fully registered. However, you may work in other healthcare roles or as a physio assistant under supervision.
The complete process typically takes 12-18 months, including credential assessment, exam preparation, and AHPRA registration.
